C2i is always looking for dynamic speakers who can share areas of expertise and or life experiences that are relevant to our youth who face unique challenges as they reach adulthood.  Some of these topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Post secondary education topics
  • How to access and sustain housing and housing programs
  • Employment
  • Independent Living topics

 Here is a list of a few speakers who have come to speak to C2i youth

  • Professor Mahmoud El Kati speaking on Black History topics
  • Lisa Lissamore sharing her experience as an African American woman in sports
  • Andre Koen sharing his expertise on youth development and self worth and self esteem,
  • Fred Evans and staff at Freemont Clinic sharing their resources and information on STD/STI awareness
  • V.J. Smith and MADDADS staff held weekly forums with youth about youth violence in the community
  • Richard Terrell foster care youth alumni spoke to youth about adversity he faced as a youth and how he has become a successful law student
  • Teen Challenge staff speaking about overcoming addiction
